It’s a good day to be a Metal Gear Solid fan, because Konami confirmed today that the highly anticipated Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will be out in the United States on November 8th. This is the same release date that retailers had listed for the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, so there isn’t much of a change there.

However, there is a bit of disappointing news for gamers who find themselves in PAL regions, because Konami also announced today that the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection won’t be making it to Europe until Febraury 3rd, 2012. This means that those in PAL regions will be the last to get it, but hey, better late than never right?

As we’ve known for quite a while now, the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will come packed to the brim with games, including such memorable titles as Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of LibertyMetal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. Also included in this package is something for the old school among us, with Konami deciding to throw in the original Metal Gearas well as Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake.

I know a lot of people were crying out for the first Metal Gear Solid to be included in this compilation, but even though it’s missing, this is still a really good collection. That’s especially true when you consider that with most HD collections, you’re only getting two or three games – with this one, you’re getting five.

So, who’s excited for the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection? Will you be picking this up on launch day, or putting your purchase on hold in favor of the other games releasing in November?
