Chrono Trigger is a much-loved RPG by Square Enix released back in 1995 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. And as that is such an incredibly long time ago, the company has been re-releases of the title for newer consoles so younger gamers can enjoy it. The newest addition? iPhone and Android smartphones.

Back in December of 2010, it was rumored that Square Enix is porting retro RPG Chrono Trigger to mobile devices, and we could only assume it will be released through the Apple App Store. After almost a year, Square Enix finally announced Chrono Trigger’s release for iPhone and Android devices during this year’s Tokyo Game Show.

Chrono Trigger will be released along with Dragon Quest Monsters and Ithadaki Street. And while it has been confirmed for the iOS and the Android, Square Enix forgot to mention a couple of very important information – the price of the games and the release date. But I suspect we’ll be hearing more about the mobile version of the Chrono Trigger soon, so hang tight!
